The Create BOM tool fulfills a critical point in AutoCAD Plant 3D orthographic creation.  Many operators need to be able to insert a Bill of Materials into a layout and tag the items on the drawing.  

The Create BOM plugin can create 3 different types of tables - total, cut, and list.  The total bill of material accumulates all items and places a total count or length.  The cut type will accumulate non-pipe items and list the individual cut lengths of pipe.  The list type include separate rows for each item.
